Our Team

Nick is a Member of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers and has over 20 years of experience in the gas processing industry. He has an in-depth knowledge of gas compression and power generation systems, having worked as a consultant for many of the major gas and power producing companies in the UK.

As founding director, Nick works well in the project environment with detailed knowledge of a wide range of technical subjects, which he has applied to a variety of challenging situations. He is able to provide sound technical guidance to clients in key technical discussions, as well as mentoring a number of our technical staff.

Alastair is a Fellow of the Institute of Chemical Engineers and has over 20 years of experience in the gas processing industry. He has an in-depth knowledge of the gas production business, having worked as a consultant for most of the gas producing companies in the UK.

He has undertaken a leading role in the development of engineers, from graduates to senior level, to ensure that the same skills and experience are retained within the company.

As a founding director of the company, Alastair uses his knowledge and experience to help clients overcome a variety of challenges in their businesses.

Neil has over 25 years of experience in the IT industry and has managed numerous major projects for blue-chip clients during this time. He has held the title of Managing Director in several large companies providing IT solutions for the finance sector, including Logica, CMG and latterly the COO of SunGard a major supplier in the insurance industry, before managing his own consultancy business for four years

Neil joined OSL in July 2010 as their consultant, advising the Directors on the best methods of growing the company. Proving invaluable, he was asked to stay as an interim manager before accepting the role of Operations Manager in 2011.

In his current role, Neil is helping the Directors run OSL to its full potential, utilising skills and know-how gained from running major businesses and multimillion pound international organisations.

Sarah has over eighteen years’ experience in recruiting both contract and permanent roles within the Engineering Sector. She began her career in recruitment as a contract agent placing multi-disciplined contract engineers in roles throughout the UK. Progressing to join Michael Page as one of their inaugural permanent engineering consultants Sarah successfully built a permanent desk servicing operator and manufacturing clients throughout the north of England.

The last fifteen years have seen Sarah specialise in permanent and contract roles within the oil and gas industry. Whilst working for one of the world’s largest engineering consultancies she was responsible for managing and growing teams of recruiters who serviced oil and gas clients throughout the UK and Europe.

Sarah joined OSL in 2014 as their Resourcing Manager where she is responsible for effectively sourcing and attracting talented professionals to join OSL’s team on both a permanent and contract basis.  Sarah also manages our resourcing business where we provide specialist engineers to support client projects around the world.
