2012 has seen us take on four new members of staff across our Hull and Aberdeen offices.
Kufre Uwem is an Associate Mechanical Engineer. With an MSc in Pipeline Engineering from Newcastle University and professional experience in his home country of Nigeria, he now lives and works in Hull. In the short time he has been with the company, Kufre has worked on a significant bid for a major gas compression system as well as a gas storage solution. Focusing on area pipeline systems for Perenco during the week, in his spare time Kufre enjoys tennis, video games, and is a BMW fanatic to the extent that he’s even visited the production factory in Berlin.
Yoke Ling Lee also studied at Newcastle University and attained a BEng Honours and an MSc, having started her education in Malaysia. With five years’ experience at GL Noble Denton in procurement engineering, she’s now a Senior Process Engineer in our Hull office. When not working on gas compression and gas storage projects, Yoke Ling spends her time travelling, listening to music and supporting charities.
Ike Obi graduated from Aberdeen’s Robert Gordon University with an MSC in Oil and Gas Engineering and also holds a BEng in Chemical Engineering from Enugu State University of Science and Technology in Nigeria. He’s now based at our Aberdeen office as a Process Engineer and is actively involved in process engineering modifications and safety review (LOPA) of an above ground gas processing facility. Ike's a big football fan, playing matches in his leisure time, and he’s recently tied the knot in Nigeria - read about his wedding here.
Back in Hull, Abigail Abiola-Cudjoe has joined OSL as a Graduate Process Engineer. She relocated from North West London last month and is now working on a major gas storage project. Checking maximum injection rates at which specified compressors can feed gas into the caverns for storage is giving her the opportunity to work with multidisciplined engineers and develop her skills. She studied a Chemical Engineering BEng at the University of Surrey and enjoys films, theatre plays, motivating young people, travelling and socialising.
