A Grand Day Out

OSL recently reached a very special milestone, which was matched with very special festivities. Having started as a small consultancy run from a home office, today the company operates out of a three-storey building in which we placed a long-term investment in the city, the region and our dedication to providing quality-implemented solutions. OSL House in Priory Park East, was purchased in 2013 and each month has seen its staff force increase, with its apex reached earlier this month thanks to the addition of just under twenty new team members. This coincided with the aforementioned milestone, which was our tenth anniversary of operations. Needless to say, we celebrated in style.

A tenth anniversary comes but once, so Directors Alastair Robertson and Nick Jones (both pictured) knew that the event required a real sense of occasion. That’s why they chose Beverley Racecourse, with its 300-year history, ceremonious atmosphere and perfect location right next to the picturesque Westwood. OSL booked a luxurious private suite for the team to enjoy some first-rate food and drink, interspersed with exciting races and perhaps the odd flutter.

With some team members having been on board since the company’s beginnings and others fairly new to their engineering careers, it was an excellent opportunity to unwind and enjoy some natural teambuilding. Everyone was presented with a commemorative gift of a branded power bank, ideal for when staff require a little extra juice for their mobile devices whilst commuting, on site or attending an industry gathering.

With bubbly, sunshine, fetching outfits and the odd successful bet, it truly was a day to remember. The Directors of OSL would like to thank the team at Beverley Racecourse for their outstanding hospitality, our staff for helping us get where we are today, and of course our customers, without whom we wouldn’t have reached this momentous landmark.
